SUMMER DARKNESS FESTIVAL 2010
Line up revealed ~ presale starts April 3rd
From 13- 15th of August Summer Darkness Festival 2010 will take place in the heart of The Netherlands: the city of Utrecht. Only 20 minutes away from Amsterdam this city has an unique gothic centre and a diversity of small clubs. This eighth edition of the Summer Darkness Festival is again packed with the best live music, poetry, arts, fashion and more known in the so called Dark Underground scene.
These fine artist are confirmed: AND ONE, DAF, LEAETHERSTRIP, CLAN OF XYMOX, AMDUSCIA, IN STRICT CONFIDENCE, NACHTMAHR, ALTER DER RUINE, DIVE, SPIRITUAL FRONT, FAITH & THE MUSE, IANVA, ORFEO, BACIO DI TOSCA, BALL NOIR, THE BEAUTY OF GEMINA, KELTEN ZONDER GRENZEN + SOPOR AETURNUS: CINEMA OBSCURE VIEWING and more to be announced.
On Saturday April 3rd the official presale will start at the Summer Darkness website, Tivoli, Plato Utrecht, and all presale-addresses of Ticketservice. At www.summerdarkness.nl you can also find all other information, like programme, timetables, accommodation, and so on.
Summer Darkness is organized by Tivoli, Cybercase en Mojo and is taking place in the many historical venues and locations in the city centre of Utrecht. Utrecht is a big university city and its centre is, just like Amsterdam, full of canals and historic premises like The Dom, a large gothic church and tower with a beautiful square. But Utrecht is also home to Rietveld (architect) and Miffy. The festival-ticket does not include a campsite. So no camping in muddy middle of nowhere, but sleeping in one of the wide budget range of hotels, City-campings, hostels, B&Bs in the city. Check for detailed information: www.summerdarkness.nl
Just like previous years, Summer Darkness will organize an atmospheric market at the Dom square during the festival. The Dom square will consist of market stands, fashion shows, a terrace and live performances. There will be some good food available, as well
as drinks! More information will be announced soon.
